Pastor: Blake Herridge
Blake graduated from Truett Seminary in 2011 with a Master of Divinity degree. He did his undergraduate work at Baylor graduating in 2008 with a BA degree in Religion and minor in History. Born and reared in San Antonio, Blake comes from a strong Christian home. Blake met his wife, Mallory Homeyer, at Baylor. They were married in May 2011. Blake became the pastor of FBC in October 2011.
Minister of Music: James Cheesman
James grew up in a musical and ministry minded family from Cuero,TX where his father serves as a worship pastor. James is a gifted worship leader, and has a heart to lead God’s people into the throne room of God. He has been a tremendous asset to FBC Marlin, since joining the staff in June 2008. He has written and produced a Christmas musical entitled “From Rags to His Riches” that he is currently in the process of publishing. In his spare time, James enjoys playing guitar, french horn, numerous other instruments, and participating in sports.
Minister to Youth: Micah Titterington
Micah is from Tonganoxie, KS and joined the FBC team in August 2010. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University with degrees in Biblical Studies and in Communications in 2010. He is married to his wife, Crystal, also an SBU grad. Currently, he is working on his M.Div. from Truett Seminary. Micah has ministered to teenagers since graduating high school. Micah enjoys playing soccer, reading, and teaching.
Minister to Children: Lauren Felps
Lauren came to us by way of Round Rock, TX. She is currently a student at Baylor University where she is getting a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. Lauren joined the FBC staff in March 2010. Lauren loves children, and she is excited about helping children understand that God loves them and desires a relationship with every person. She loves singing, dancing, and her bunny!
